NORC February Meeting
February 28, 2008

NORC was pleased to welcome Bart Baron and State Representative Jack Hoogendyk as special guests at our February 28th meeting. Baron and Hoogendyk are squaring off in the Republican primary for U.S. Senate with the hopes of taking on incumbent U.S. Senator Carl Levin.

Both men gave brief opening statements. The meeting was then opened up to a question and answer session with the audience. Baron and Hoogendyk faced questions about issues such as the 2nd Amendment, spending on education and prisons, the world's current view of the U.S., and how to counter Levin's strengths.

The meeting was attended by numerous first-time guests and elected officials, and was covered by the Oakland Press.
